1st Rate Ocean City Properties' Response to COVID-19

For more than 19 years, 1st Rate Ocean City Properties has taken care of our guests by putting our best foot forward, continually upgrading items in our condos, making sure our condos are impeccably cleaned and providing top linens and towels. These practices guide us as we face the difficult challenge of responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19.)

Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock and have precautions in place to ensure a healthy stay at any of our three condos in Ocean City, MD.

In this climate, we know travel may not be your first thought, but I want you to know the safety of our guests is our top priority. I want to thank you in advance for putting your trust in 1st Rate OC as you plan for future travels. Below is an update on what we are doing, keeping your safety top of mind.

Please know that when you book, you will have the reassurance that your deposit will be fully refundable up to 45 days in advance of your check-in date. If the mayor closes the beach, at any time, you may receive a full refund. We are closely monitoring the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government and public health officials. We are reinforcing these agencies’ recommendations on the appropriate health and safety measures with our cleaning team and they have taken the required courses to make sure they are up to date with the required EPA and OSHA regulations to sanitize all units.

Given the impact of COVID-19 on how we work, socialize and travel, we have been adapting our cleaning procedures to make sure our condos are ready for your stay. Please be assured that all surfaces, handles, light switches, furniture and remotes will be thoroughly disinfected. All linens, including comforters, quilts and shams, will be switched out for each guest. All throw pillows and throw rugs have been removed to keep things simple and clean. We recognize that the COVID-19 virus has required all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities and we assure you we
are going the extra mile for our guests.

The Beach and boardwalk are open both for relaxation and lounging or exercising.
Restaurants are permitted to serve carryout or delivery, are offering outside seating and are beginning to offer inside seating.
Retail stores will be open with limited capacity.
We remind everyone to practice social distancing out of or groups of more than 10 people.
Masks are recommended to wear in public.
